Amersfoort – The Dutch International Tango Week has added a new top international name to the lineup of the festival, which takes place during the Pentecost weekend, on May 23 and 24 in Amersfoort. The organization welcomes Claudio Constantini, the internationally renowned pianist, bandoneonist and composer from Peru.

Claudio Constantini is considered one of the most versatile musicians of his generation. He combines a classical background with a deep-rooted love for Argentine tango, jazz and contemporary music. With his virtuoso piano playing and expressive bandoneon playing, he has performed in more than thirty countries, on stages such as the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and the Teatro Real in Madrid. His album AMERICA also earned him a nomination for a Latin Grammy.

With the booking of Constantini, the Dutch International Tango Week underlines its ambition to present tango as a living, groundbreaking musical movement, in which tradition and innovation go hand in hand. The festival offers a stage to top international musicians and innovative forms within tango music.

Details about the program and ticket sales will be announced soon via the Dutch International Tango Week website, the newsletter, and the festival’s social media channels.
