The Dutch International Tangoweek is proud to announce a special international collaboration with the Centro Cultural y Biblioteca Popular Homero Manzi and the Cátedra Libre Homero Manzi de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata in Argentina. This artistic exchange underscores the festival’s ambition to connect authentic Argentine tango with Dutch audiences and introduce new listeners to leading artists from the country of origin.
As a direct result of this collaboration, this year the Dutch International Tango Week presents an exclusive concert by renowned Argentine singer Lautaro Mazza. The concert will take place in the intimate setting of the Aegtenkapel and promises to be a unique musical experience for lovers of Argentine tango.
During this special concert, Lautaro Mazza will be on stage together with singer Lenore Huang and pianist Ariel Pirotti. This unique artistic encounter brings together different generations and perspectives within tango music and results in an evening of musicality, expression and ensemble playing at the highest level.
Lautaro Mazza is internationally known for his deep, expressive voice and his ability to bring the rich heritage of tango to life in both authentic and contemporary ways. Combined with the refined singing of Lenore Huang and the virtuoso piano playing of Ariel Pirotti, this concert promises to enchant connoisseurs and new audiences alike.
The collaboration with the Centro Cultural y Biblioteca Popular Homero Manzi and the Cátedra Libre Homero Manzi de la Universidad Nacional de La Plata marks an important step in the further internationalization of Dutch International Tangoweek. By establishing direct connections with cultural and educational institutions in Argentina, the festival strengthens its role as a platform for artistic exchange, talent development and deepening within tango culture.
“This collaboration allows us to bring the source of tango even closer to our audience,” the organization said. “Lautaro Mazza’s concert is a wonderful example of this: pure, authentic and of the highest artistic level.”
The concert at the Aegten Chapel is part of a broader festival program that focuses on live music, dance and encounters. The full lineup and more information can be found at www.dutchtangoweek.nl.
