Tango is a language of passion, melancholy and desire. Duo Sensiblero speaks that language like no other. Bandoneón virtuoso Victor Villena (AR) and violinist Sabrina Condello (FR) will take you on a musical journey through the soul of Buenos Aires.
Victor Villena was born in Argentina in 1979 and began studying bandoneon at the age of 9 in the suburbs of Buenos Aires. At the age of 17 he was chosen by the National Tango Academy of Buenos Aires as a ‘revelation as a bandoneonist’. In 1997 he won the prize for best soloist at the Argentine National Competition. In 1999 he left Argentina to settle in France. His talent allows him to perform on the most renowned stages around the world such as the Hollywood Bowl (USA), Broadway 54 (USA), The London Barbican and the London Queen’s Hall (UK). In 2022 he will give a solo recital at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam.
At his side is Sabrina Condello, a violinist with an unerring sense of the drama and tenderness of tango. Her playing is expressive, intense and compelling, making each piece tell a story. Together they perform a repertoire that ranges from grandmasters Astor Piazzolla and Aníbal Troilo to hidden gems from the Argentine music tradition. This performance will last 2x 45 minutes and there will be an intermission. An intermission drink is included in the price. A dance floor is available for enthusiasts.
