For most Dutch people, the feel to the lyrics of original Tangos is hard to fathom. That’s why we set the finest Dutch pop poetry to tango music. Songs by Stef Bos, Harry Jekkers and Ramses Shaffy. Familiar lyrics, but set to tango music. A unique and one-off concert developed especially for Dutch International Tangoweek. The arrangements are by pianist Wim Warman, who has previously developed several performances as a tango arranger. Singer Esther Ephraim sings all the lyrics. The Dutch Tangoweek Orchestra also includes: Ruzana Tsymbalova on violin, Taco Nieuwenhuizen Segaar on double bass and Gert van Ruiswijk on bandoneon.
